Andama Junior: “As a fan of this club, this move is dream come true.”

Versatile midfielder Andama Junior signed four years contract with us and was unveiled on Sunday 25-July-2021.

Junior joins Arua Hill from Calvary FC where he made a mark after emerging as the club’s top scorer in 2020/21 Big League season with 5 goals in 14 games.

Junior was also part of the team that helped promote Calvary from the Regional league to the Big League in 2020 after beating  gateway 2-0 in the play-offs in Njeru. During that season, Junior scored 3 goals for the Midigo side.

Regarded as one of the Big League’s finest talents, Junior who had fairly great season with Calvary describes his move a ‘dream come true’ and admits the move is attached with fresh challenges he’s ready face.

Speaking to Arua Hill media, joyful Junior said,

“My season at Calvary was brilliant, we maintained the club, it was our first season, I learnt a lot and I know that has added onto my experience which will benefit me at Arua Hill SC.

“It was great scoring five goals as a midfielder in a season but I intend to work hard so I may improve with more goals.

“Moving to Arua Hill is a dream come true for me and I knew I was going to make it because I’ve been working hard for it and here I am where I wanted to be.

“I was working hard to play in a top level and being a fan of Doves All Stars back then, I had dreams of playing for this club and now the chance has come.

“There were offers from elsewhere, about three but I chose Arua Hill because of my attachment as a fan, I trained with them a few years back before my Calvary move.

“I’m ready, my heart is ready and I’m pushing myself to meet the demands with hard work. There is an inward motivation and I believe the Arua Hill technical team will definitely be encouraging.

Andama Junior pens a four deal that will keep him around till 2026

The industrious player who is capable of playing all the midfield positions developed through secondary football after featuring for Arua S.S (2013), Nyadri Urban (2014,2015,2016), Yivu S.S (2017) and Nyangilia S.S (2018).

He started his club football in 2019 with  Araka FC which he helped to promote from div 4 to Regional league. His contribution didn’t go unnoticed after he scored five goals and assisted three the entire season.

He would then move to Calvary FC in 2020 where he won Regional playoffs before spending one more season with them where he put up a convincing performance between March-25-2021 to June-13-2021, scoring five goals that greatly contributed to Calvary’s survival in the league.

At Arua Hill, Junior says the atmosphere will be different and more enticing given the quality of teammates he is surrounded with. He particularly points out  the club skipper Caesar Okhuti as a great talent he will learn from.

“I’m going to learn a lot from Okhuti and other quality players in the team,” Junior noted.

“They’ve been in the league for so long. I am eager and looking forward to listening and learning from them so as to perfect myself.

“I am ready to fight for the budge and win trophies in the due course.”
