Arua Hill’s last meeting with Maroons, in April 2021 at the Luzira Prisons Ground, ended in a 0-0 draw that kept the Leopards on top of the table.
Plenty has evolved for both sides result-wise since, and mostly for Maroons whose technical team has been revamped as a consequence, with Muhammad Ssenfuma and James Chemarie taking over from Charles Ayiekho.
After registering five consecutive defeats, they finally smiled following the 2-0 win over Gaddafi in Luzira last Thursday.
“They are motivated because they want to show their bosses their capability but we’re also motivated because we have a winning run and lead the table,” Mbalangu told Arua Hill media in regards to Maroons seemingly good form
“We’re expecting a good game because Maroons play good football,” he added.
“They won’t come to kick people but to play their style.” He concluded.
Arua Hill seated on top of the table with 17 points meanwhile has maintained the unbeaten record after playing 2-2 draw with Kataka on Wednesday.
As the Leopards host the Mbili Mbili tomorrow, Mbalangu will look forward to actualizing his vision of collecting four points from Maroons fixture in the back to back meetings besides desiring to protect their lead on the table.
A win for Arua Hill will see them amass 20 points in ten games. Whereas Maroons stand a chance to leapfrog 5th placed Mbale Heroes incase they take the day.
Watch out for Fred Amaku who posed so much threat to our Anyama in the first meeting. Having scored in their recent 2-0 victory over Gaddafi, his confidence levels have scaled up and will want build up from there.
Meanwhile our lead scorer Alfred Leku is on fine scoring form. He has mastered the art of playing under instruction and of recent he doesn’t require so many chances to score.
With the rise of Baden Mujahid and Gadafi Gadinho who has gotten to shape, our creativity has been enhanced and Leku could finish the game in the first half.
Okhuti could do harm to our guests incase given chance. He last featured and scored in our 2-2 draw with Gaddafi on 22nd April. To deal with feeling of lagging behind, he might want to resume his scoring spree to level with Leku on five goals.
With the exception of Oscar Agaba, Arua Hill has no any other injury concern.
Mbalangu confirmed his side is boosted with return of Caeser Okhuti.
