“Blacks Power crucial fixture we must win,” Mbalangu explains the need to grab it from improved opponent.

Head Coach Hussein Mbalangu has made clean breast on the need to win the fixture which he has labeled as new beginning against Blacks Power at Emokori Ground.

Mbalangu’s Arua Hill side will face Blacks Power in their StarTimes Big League second round opening fixture of the 2020/21 season on Sunday.

The Leopards currently occupying  1st place travel to meet Blacks Power who sit 3rd after humbling Maroons FC 3-1 before the closure of first round.

When Arua Hill SC and Blacks Power last met in Arua more than six weeks ago, goals from Paddy, Okhuti and Mutebi were beyond enough to secure all three points, but that certainly will be a different story this time around with Bukedea side showing improvement as they’ve climbed so close to the summit .

Mbalangu while recognizing that fact insists improvement is on both side and explained why it’s crucial to collect the three points. Speaking to aruahillsc.ug, in his own words he,said;

“They have improved and we equally have improved because we look at this a new beginning where we’re starting with zero points. So we want to collect points again for the second round.

“I know it’s going to be tough because they are at home and we shall try to work very hard so we make get maximum points.

“We’ve played away before and got points so our main target is to all the points. We must be very aggressive towards the goal, the chances we get must be used as you see.

“Since our return to training, our concentration has been on sharpening the strikers in finishing because we’re creating a lot but we’re scoring less so we at least need to take advantage of the chances we’re creating.

“We even want to get early goals because we usually get chances at the early minutes, we’ve ignited the hunger and the aggressiveness in our strikers.” He continued.

Mbalangu mentioned the advantage of  taking chances and getting an early goal with the positive effect it is likely to add to the team in the long run.

“When you go away and get an early goal, you are likely to disorganize the home team,” Mbalangu said.

“It’s crucial for us to get a win because it will lighten our chances of promotion early. Because getting three points away is bonus and that would have sent a message to everyone that we’re very serious on what we’re doing.

“We’re the table leaders so we want to maintain that because we’re aware our competitors like Gaddafi will play to Mbale, and they’re working hard.” He added.

“When we flop and they win, it is likely to subject us to pressure which we don’t want to be under. Maroons is equally there and they must have been correcting their mistake so as to come back stronger and it’s going to be competitive.” He concluded.
