Arua Hill have signed Faizul Ibrahim from Wakiso Giants on an undisclosed fee. Faizul will be at Barifa until 2024.
Faizul, whose contract became effective from July 27, 2021 and is yet to be assigned shirt number, is Arua Hill’s third signing, with the club having targeted a holding midfielder this transfer season.
Arua Hill head of Media and Soccer analyst Adams Otelul Lematia , said:
“Faizul is a tough character, he shows up massively in big games, he is a very disciplined player who is always available, he has learned a lot in all aspects.
“He is the right figure to lead the aggressive and ambitious playing crew the team is trying to build, thank God we have him.
Faizul announced himself on the Ugandan football scene in 2016 after playing a key role in the promotion of his first professional club Onduparaka FC to the Uganda Premier League.
He joined Wakiso Giants in Jan 2020, helping the Purple Sharks finish 10th that season before playing his final season the following year where the club finished 9th on the Uganda Premier League table.
Faizul is a holding midfielder blessed with good physique and thrives well in the role of a tackler and shielding the defense. He delights in disrupting opponent’s attacking moves.
