After Richard Anyama’s inspired performance for us at Kyabazinga Stadium-Bugembe, Arua Hill head coach Hussein Mbalangu has sung the praises of his number one shot-stopper, who he wonders why “They don’t declare him the best in the League”.
On Wednesday, Anyama came for our rescue a couple of times in our 0-0 draw with Gaddafi FC, with the gaffer insisting,
“He made notable saves. He has been outstanding through out the season. I don’t know why he is not declared the best goalkeeper because he is very good, talented and has the confidence.
The showpiece of the goalkeeper who joined us from Wakiso Giants last November, has attracted wide respect after he managed to amass eight clean sheets in 13 games.
Mbalangu also commended Anyama’s teammates, while pointing out the significant display by Mike Kawooya particular against the Soldier Boys, he noted the forwards contributed immensely in ensuring the team picked a vital point.
“So I think the defense and the whole team have played very well because we now defend from upfront,” Mbalangu said.
“Kawooya has been outstanding but I think the whole defense and infact the whole team was perfect.
“We planned the way we played. Remember we had gone three games without conceding, so we came knowing we shall not concede as long as we keep compact as we have been doing.
“It was game management in the past because we could score and they could equalize us so when we re-strategized with the defenders, explained them their roles, they learned it properly that’s why we are safe.
Following the result, Arua Hill now have 27 points and a superior goal difference of 14, they could seal their promotion to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League this Sunday if they draw with Paidha Black Angels.
