Mark Lulua has joined our industrious and creative media team department in the role of Social Media strategist. He brings with him six years of digital media experience and expertise after working with Uganda Premier Side Onduparaka FC since 2016.
A fanatic of football, Mark started his football journalism journey as a volunteer with Onduparaka FC in the first round of the 2016/17 season before he was hired on a permanent basis in the second round.
He was in charge of social media management doubling as a text commentator on match days through club fan’s WhatsApp groups and later telegram.
He also served as the club PRO for a year following his appointment in 2020. During his tenure with the Caterpillars, he acquired Certificate in Community Transformation through football awarded by Everton for Community.
Mark also obtained Certificate in Media Practice awarded by the Federation of Uganda Football Association. Prior to that, he worked as cashier at Gaagaa Bus services between 2011 and 2012.
In 2016, He started Lulua TV, an online platform that provides social, political, entertainment, entrepreneurial and sports news. Presented by his former workmate Daggy, the show has hosted many influential figures in different spheres including sports persons like Mike Leti and businesswoman Ann Hope Anguyo in 2020.
At Arua Hill, Mark will be in charge of designing, creating and publishing of social media content in club platforms, besides providing real time text commentary through club fan’s telegram.
