Franco Oringa has been playing at the top level of the game in Uganda since the age of 19. Excellent with the ball at his feet, dead ball specialist, gifted with good distribution, good at 1 v 1, a good game reader, and good penalty saver, he is a player for the present and the future as he is the goalkeeper with most goals in the Premier League and Big League with 14 goals.
Franco Oringa signed for Arua Hill SC in October 2020 from FUFA Big League side, Saviours FC. Born on 21st October 1990 in Lira City, the 30-year-old did not take long to make his name in Ugandan football.
His first club after playing secondary football for Lango College in 2004 was Northern Regional League side, Boroboro FC, which he joined in 2007 as a teenager, and by the time he was 17.
A year later Oringa would go onto helping Boroboro FC earn a promotion to the top flight after saving three penalties in the final playoffs.
His leading role with Boroboro gave him a ticket to his first national duty, as he featured for the Hippos U-20 2008. He also featured for the Uganda CECAFA team in Kenyan in 2010.
He only played for Boroboro the first season in Premier League before KCCA FC came for his signature in 2009/10 season. In 2010/11 he joined URA where played two seasons and won the title with the tax collectors in his first season. He spent first round of 2012/13 with Kira Young and the second round with Express FC, he was part of the team that played CECAFA in Darfur.
He signed for BUL FC in 2013/14 and spent three seasons with the Jinja based side where he notably won the best goalkeeper in 2013/14 following his impressive ten clean sheets before switching to another Jinja side Plascon FC in 2016/17. He played for Tooro United FC in 2017/18 season and Nyamityobora FC in 2018/19 season.
