Sabir Edema, born on 5th September 1992 in Arua, Uganda, brings much more than goals as he can play anywhere in the attacking. Born 28 years ago in the West Nile City of Arua, Uganda, Edema played secondary football at Arua Islamic S.S in 2011 to 2012 before switching to Najja Islamic SS in 2013.
He played secondary football concurrently with club football and his first experience was in the zonal league with Alpha Rising Stars FC in his home town in 2010, where a year later he made his mark at Apha, topping the chart with eight goals as his team earned promotion to the Regional League.
After a year of service with Alpha, Edema upgraded to FUFA Big League side Paidha Black Angels in 2013/14 and 2014/15 season before signing for Arua Hill SC which then was playing Regional League in 2015/16.
He made his debute in a 2-1 win against Koboko Rising Stars in 2015. His 2016/17 season with us was memorable as he won the top scorer boot with 12 goals to send us to the Big League level.
He has since then been one of the most reliable goal scorers of the club scoring 13 goals in 2017/18, six goals in 2018/19, five goals in 2019/20.
Edema is a hard working player who usually plays in a central role as a striker, he is a versatile player, who is capable of playing in several attacking positions, and has also been used as a winger. In addition to his goal scoring, Edema is known for tireless running, and direct approach, and is also capable of creating chances for his teammates.
He is considered a fast and dynamic striker, though he occasionally scores poorly in positioning and he likes stretching opponents, which, combined with his pace, makes him a threat on counter-attacks.
He is a composed finisher, he is also good in the air, and capable of striking the ball powerfully with both feet.
