Sabir Simba, born on 19th April 1988 in Arua, Uganda, started his career in second division with Arua Central (defunct) in 2006/07, the following season, he joined another second tier side Senke FC in Koboko before switching to Mvara Boys in 2009/10 season.
Simba signed for Onduparaka FC in 2014 at regional level and was part of the club’s progressive journey in each tier of football competition including the historic 2015/16 FUFA Big League finals against Busoga United and Uganda Cup finals against Vipers SC at Nakivubo.
The 32-year-old played four top flight seasons for Onduparaka and ended his duration with them after playing a couple of games in the first round of the 2019/20 season. In January 2020, Simba joined Arua Hill SC on a two year deal.
Simba is a skilled player who mainly plays as a central defender and or right sided centre back in a three man defence. He is a ball playing good tackler who also excels well in aerials. In the early days of his career, his ball playing ability and passing skills would earn him a place in the hold midfield.
