A new month sets a new date for another challenge in the fight for a top four finish as Arua Hill is set to host Mbarara City at Barifa Stadium today. In the opposition we have another familiar face in coach Sadiq Sempijji who previously was at Arua Hills SC.
In our first meeting with the Ankole lions, a former Arua Hill coach in the names of Hussein Mbalangu was at the helm and the game saw Arua Hill lose to Mbarara City 2-1 early on in the season. Tides did not turn out well for the former Kongolo coach who had previously led us to our maiden UPL season from the big league as he lost his job at Mbarara City and got replaced by another coach from the Kongolo. Sadiq Sempiji came at the club at the start of the season and came in as the right hand man to the current gaffer Livingston Mbabazi. He spent close to five months as the assistant manager of Arua Hill till he departed for Mbarara.
Today he brings in team that is lying second last on the table and battling relegation to the leopards den, a place he previously called home. Meanwhile the Kongolo boys will be looking to bolster their form after grabbing a neat win in the last game against Busoga United with two goals Alfred Leku that ended up our barren spell of four consecutive draws. Getting back to winning ways and maintaining the run till the end of the season could see Arua Hill content for a top four finish which is still up for grabs. A win today will take us level on points with Bul FC just goals less. Both Bul and Express dropped points this game week already and Arua Hill looks set to capitalise on that.
Only Ibrahim Faizul will miss this game with a long term injury and the rest of the squad is fit to tussle it out for spots in the starting 11. The game shall kickoff at 4pm , Barifa Stadium. You can catch all the action updates on the Arua Hill SC media pages.
