Sabir Edema has finally returned to training with Arua Hill SC at Barifa Play Ground from six weeks of sick leave but the defender has no chance to play in the first round.
Edema who had his first visit at Barifa at the beginning of the week has given Arua Hill a very much needed feel of buoyancy after returning to the training pitch for the first time since feeling unwell in February.
The 28 year old is back and has now returned with much vigor and energy to contribute to the campaign that Arua Hill is aiming at finishing successful with promotion the bigger picture in mind.
The forward who was instrumental for Arua Hill the past few seasons looked so full of vitality today when he got to business as the cameras captured him.
“We are very happy because he came back and he is strong and healthy,” coach Mbalangu commented on Edema’s return.
“It’s good he has come in a good time because we’re finishing the first round so he will get time to train so that he can cop up with the other players.” He added.
The gaffer also spoke positively of Edema’s shape before he got unlucky with sickness that forced him out for several weeks
“Before, he had gained momentum and was very active unfortunately he was sidelined because of the sickness and now he is okay, healthy and very strong.” Mbalangu said.
Edema joined Arua Hill SC from our next opponent Paidha Black Angels in 2015/16 in Regional stage.
He made his debut in a 2-1 win against Koboko Rising Stars in 2015. His 2016/17 season with us was memorable as he won the top scorer boot with 12 goals to send us to the Big League level.
He has since then been one of the most reliable goal scorers of the club scoring 13 goals in 2017/18, six goals in 2018/19, five goals in 2019/20.
Edema is a hard working player who usually plays in a central role as a striker, he is a versatile player, who is capable of playing in several attacking positions, and has also been used as a winger.
In addition to his goal scoring, Edema is known for tireless running, and direct approach, and is also capable of creating chances for his teammates.
He is considered a fast and dynamic striker, though he occasionally scores poorly in positioning and he likes stretching opponents, which, combined with his pace, makes him a threat on counter-attacks.
He is a composed finisher, he is also good in the air, and capable of striking the ball powerfully with both feet.
