Date of Birth:17th  May, 1987

Bosco Onama is a FUFA Level 1 coaching licence holder whose interest lies within youth development. He played football as a striker for Pokea Seminary between 2001 and 2004 and also participated in club football with 3rd division side Kati FC (defunct) for three years in the early 2000s before a niggling injury forced his early retirement.

He ventured into coaching and first started with Arua Kids League in 2003 before he took his experience to Arua Primary School between 2005 and 2009. He is celebrated figure in the history of Arua Hill Sports Club given his efforts in initiating and coaching the club then known as Doves United FC in 2005 before giving it to the community.

Onama is historied for playing a part in the tutelage of renown football names from West Nile including our own players Sanday Aleni Bernard, Samari Ajobe and Rashid Yakin.

Some the other players that passed through the hands of Onama are Vipers SC striker Shaban Muhammad, Wakiso Giants’ Wahab Gadafi, Fahad Muhammad who plays in Sweden, Mawadri John Bosco who plays in Australia, Mandela Nelson who plays for Maroons, Samari Kapalaga now in Maroons and Express FC’s Abel Eturude.

He also coached Nile High Secondary School between 2010 and 2013 before moving to St. Joseph College Ombachi the following year. Onama’s love for grooming talent led him to form another soccer academy, Arua Soccer Academy in 2014 where he raised our own Brian Ade.

Onama joined the Arua Hill SC technical team as Head of Youth Development in 2020. As the Head of Youth Development, Onama is the head of all youth teams and he is tasked to give technical oversight to all the under teams.
